Dubai’s first Arabic music festival

by

Dubai Opera is taking the city of Dubai by storm and marking the arrival of its first contemporary Arabic music festival this month.

On Saturday, April 28, dxbeats will transform the opera house into a flat-floor concert hall and bring some top regional talent to its massive stage.

The five-hour show will be headed by songstress Yasmine Hamdan – best known for her work in the Lebanese trip hop duo Soapkills. Joining her is Egyptian funk outfit Sharmoofers, The Wanton Bishops (Beirut’s answer to The White Stripes), Moroccan urban pop singer Manal and local hip hop hero Moh Flow.
