Dubai-based BonApp is offering a solution to one of the world’s biggest environmental problems – food waste. Partnering with cafes and restaurants across the emirate, the app allows users to buy surplus food at reduced prices.
Inspired by Dubai Municipality’s #ZeroFoodWaste campaign, BonApp works with restaurants to rescue their perfectly edible food from ending up in the bin by posting real-time deals of any unsold food. Customers buy the discounted food through the app and enjoy as pick-up or dine-in.
Literally translated as Good App, BonApp offers food that’s good for you and good for the planet.
