Ever wonder how people take those amazing photos of a starry sky? It’s actually pretty simple. All you need is a camera with manual settings, a tripod, a clear moonless night sky and minimal light pollution.

Now manually set your camera to a low (aka slow) shutter speed, e.g. 1/20, allowing the maximum light to hit the sensor, it being night time and all. The tripod is essential to ensuring you don’t blur the image whilst the shutter is open.
