The Montblanc de la Culture Arts Patronage Award, a visionary annual award recognising the work and contributions of modern day art patrons, has included the Middle East region for the first time.
Rajeeb and Nadia Samdani, recipients of the 2017 Award for the Middle East, India and Africa, were honoured at a ceremony held in Dubai to recognise their work with the Samdani Art Foundation.
Their foundation raises the awareness of contemporary art across Bangladesh and broadens international exposure for the country’s artists and architects, whilst also being responsible for the bi-annual Dhaka Art Summit and Samdani Art Award.
