Abu Dhabi’s cultural district will soon be home to the Zayed National Museum, the UAE’s first national museum. Preparatory construction was completed in 2017 and architects at the award-winning firm Foster + Partners took inspiration from one of the UAE’s most powerful symbols, the falcon.
The museum will commemorate the legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan by showcasing his life, his achievements and the social reforms he set in motion. Once built, local and international visitors will be given the opportunity to visit the museum and learn about the UAE’s rich history, culture and global connections.
