Determined to set another Guinness World Record, the UAE has announced plans to cultivate the world’s largest coral reef garden along the coast of Fujairah.
In an agreement signed with Fujairah Centre for Adventures, the UAE’s Ministry of Climate Change and Environment (MoCCAE) has detailed plans to provide a haven for biodiversity to sustain and rehabilitate ecosystems in the UAE.
With expectations of marine preservation and enhanced fisheries, the reef is projected to boost tourism in the emirate and attract divers and nature enthusiasts from the UAE and abroad, placing Fujairah on the map among the world’s top snorkelling spots.
