Intermittent fasting is a “new” approach to health and well-being that is enjoying much popularity, although it’s actually the way our earliest ancestors ate as a means of survival.
Alternating cycles of eating and fasting becomes less about what we eat and more about when we eat. Studies have shown that intermittent fasting increases our metabolism, protects us from disease and increases our likelihood of longer life.
A ratio of 16 hours fasting and eight hours eating ‒ from 1-9 p.m., for example ‒ seems to be the easiest and most sustainable way.
It’s a fast way of life to health!
