Come 2020 the UAE will be entering space, the final frontier. It will become the first Arab country to send a mission to Mars.
Launching in 2020, the mission will consist of a probe named ‘Hope,’ which will spend a few years in orbit, contributing to the scientific understanding of Mars’s atmosphere and climate. Hope is expected to reach Mars in 2021.
Besides improving mankind’s understanding of space, Hope will serve as an inspiration to millions. Mars Mission 2021 coincides with the UAE’s 50th anniversary – a fitting tribute to a country that is at the frontier of innovation and imagination.
