With doors to the AED 45 million Al Thuraya Astronomy Centre at Mushrif Park due to open any day now, UAE residents will soon enjoy the various astrological phenomena of the cosmos outside the solar system with stunning clarity.
The centre will take guests on a journey through the history of the universe, housing a library, café, 100-seat theatre and outdoor observation deck, where enthusiasts can use their own telescopes.
The centre will also boast the largest dome of its kind, housing a 1.5m diameter world-class telescope, encouraging a new generation of budding astronomers in the UAE.
