Smokers’ habits targeted by government

by

Just a couple of months after a new tax was introduced that ramped up the price of tobacco by 100%, another action taken by the Dubai government is ready to hinder habits of smokers.

A campaign has been launched to make residents aware that throwing or stubbing your cigarette out in a non-allocated location could lead to a 500AED/- fine. Be it driving on roads or walking around the city’s parks, municipality inspectors will be strict on offenders.

Dubai Municipality is playing its role with this great initiative as noticeable efforts are made to keep the city litter free.
