On Jan. 1, Virgil Abloh, founder of Italian streetwear and luxury fashion label Off-White, visited his store in The Dubai Mall Fashion Avenue – the only store to have opened in the whole region. The unexpected visit was only announced on the brand’s Instagram account two days prior to his arrival.
The event brought hundreds of the designer’s fans, eager to meet him and have him sign their sneakers and outfits, a well known tradition for Virgil’s public appearances.
The visit coincided with the brand releasing its new “Skyscraper” collection, which contains 17 pieces dedicated to and inspired by Dubai.
