Motorists could have their records wiped clean if they steer clear of committing further road offences for 12 months, under a new safety drive rolled out by Dubai police.
Here’s how it looks: Drivers who don’t commit any traffic violations for three months can obtain a 25 percent reduction, no violations for six months can earn a 50 percent reduction, no offence for nine months can earn a 75 percent reduction and no offence for 12 months comes with a reduction of 100 percent.
The scheme does not include people who live outside the Emirate for three months or more.
