The UAE capital, Abu Dhabi, has been officially named the safest city in the world for the year 2019. Numbeo, a crowd-sourced global database, revealed that Abu Dhabi scored an impressive 89.3 points on the safety index and received the lowest crime index of more than 300 cities around the world.
This is the second year in a row that the city has been lauded for having a reputation for safety and a virtually crime-free society. Dubai, another UAE city, closely followed in 11th place, behind Doha, Basel, Singapore, Quebec City, Osaka, Tokyo, Bern, Munich and Zurich.
