Dubai Police to deploy driverless cars

by

Dubai Police is ready to welcome a fleet of autonomous vehicles. Acacus Technologies confirmed that police cars will be revamped, and by 2020 driverless vehicles will patrol the city’s streets.

“We are proud to contribute towards making Dubai the global hub of technological innovation,” said Rashid Ahmed Bin Rasheed, chairman of the board of Acacus Group.

This autonomous car technology is yet another display and commitment from the government to introduce a number of new technologies to Dubai, including high-speed trains and flying taxis, which will elevate Dubai’s status and achieve its goal to become the archetypal smart city.
