The Dubai 100 Visits the Lowest Point on Earth

by

Just three hours from Dubai, Jordan is a gem full of surprises and unforgettable experiences.

We recently stayed at the Kempinski Ishtar on the shores of the Dead Sea, an extraordinary endorheic salt lake that’s 423 meters below sea level, making it the lowest point on dry land.

The Dead Sea gets its name for being 9.6 times saltier than the ocean, a place in-hospitable to any forms of life. The hypersaline waters are extremely dense, which makes unavoidably buoyant floating a surreal and relaxing experience, while the mineral-rich black mud has incredible benefits for the skin.
