Noura Al Neyadi, an Emirati photographer, isolated herself for three weeks during Ramadan, to take photos of around 149 COVID-19 workers in four screening centres across Al Ain and Abu Dhabi.
Noura approached volunteers, doctors, nurses, cleaners and security guards, and started up a warm and casual chit-chat before taking pictures using her phone camera. Instead of asking the usual hard-hitting questions about COVID-19, she asked them what they ate that day, or what they missed the most.
She was inspired to capture the feelings shown in the beautiful eyes behind the grim masks. Check out her page: https://www.instagram.com/nooora91/.
