Prototype Exhibition by Mojo Gallery

The latest exhibition to open at Mojo Gallery is Prototype, featuring the work of Mohamed Al Mazrouei, an Emirati artist, poet, award-winning UAE author, cultural commentator and manager of the UAE Writers’ Union.

Prototype consists of a series of haunting portraits that show Mazrouei reaching deep within piercing eyes laden within insight into his personal experience. Inspired by the mystery of Fayum portraits, Mazrouei conveys a looming nothingness through fragile composition that remains eternally incomplete on the surface, yet pulls us deep within in its perpetual desire for completeness.

Open until 30 November at Mojo Gallery, Al Serkal Avenue.
