The Dubai International Film Festival went big on Virtual Reality film this year and saw the world premiere of the Emirati VR film, ‘Flash’.
Directed and co-written by Emirati talent Hassan Kiyany and supported by the Dubai Film Market’s Enjaaz Funding programme, ‘Flash’ is the first Emirati film to be produced using VR technology.
Kiyany’s short was included in the 13th edition of DIFF as a part of the new Virtual Reality line-up titled DIFFerent REALITY. Added to the programme for the first time this year, it took audiences on an immersive and boundary-pushing journey of storytelling.
