Here at Meem Gallery we’re excited about Berlin-based, Palestinian artist Kamal Boullata returning with his exhibition Addolcendo. Boullata works in an intimate format, creating precise and detailed works on paper using watercolour, gouache and crayon.
His preoccupation with geometry and colour found its roots in his birthplace of Jerusalem, where he took inspiration from art, architecture and design in his youth. In the Addolcendo series, Boullata creates abstract compositions from a technique not seen since 1920’s Paris, utilised to create an image filled with light, form and colour.
Addolcendo is exhibiting until February 20th – check here for information.
