Tasca by José Avillez

Do tapas by a Michelin-starred Portuguese chef sound like a good dinner plan? If you’re looking to try something new, chef José Avillez’s first international venture, Tasca, is worth checking out.

Located at the Mandarin Oriental Jumeirah, the restaurant has a laid-back, yet chic vibe to it. The food is tapas-style, ranging from fresh seafood such as tuna tartare, to Portuguese-style steak called “Pica Pau.” Style is not spared in the presentation of the food, either.

Great for a nighttime feast or some pool-side nibbles overlooking the Arabian Gulf, the restaurant’s definitely worth a visit.
