Eating mindfully during the holy month of Ramadan


Without a doubt, Ramadan is the holiest month of the year. Having said that, we sometimes can get carried away with what we consume.

The holy month is for emptying the stomach and feeding the soul. Why not start your day with oatmeal and chia seed porridge with honey for some sweetness, while adding some cinnamon for spice?

For iftar, keep in mind that your body requires high-protein foods and liquids. Having vegetable soup after breaking your fast is a good idea. For dessert, always opt for fruits. May this be a blessed month ahead for all of us.
