Dubai’s 2020 astronomical calendar

by The 100 Companies

It’s time to start booking your calendar if you want to see these amazing astronomical events in 2020.

There will be a penumbral lunar eclipse (where the Earth’s shadow darkens the moon) on Jan. 10, June 5 and July 5.

The big annular solar eclipse this year will happen on June 21, and 85% of the sun (which is a lot) will be covered by the moon at around 9:36 a.m. in Dubai.

Do not forget to keep June 10 booked, as that will be when the daytime Arietid meteor shower will be most visible (yes, visible meteors during the daytime).
