Apple’s recent acquisition of Intel’s 5G modem business makes it seem it’ll be doubling down on its smartphones, but recent developments say otherwise. With the Apple Card having launched earlier this month, as well as rumors of Apple’s electric car coming to market in the next few years, innovation and execution will be crucial to Apple’s success.

Consumers aren’t buying the newest iPhone every year like they used to – the enamor of smartphones has faded, and so too will Apple if they don’t act.
