Currently, Dragon Mart serves as the largest Chinese retail destination in Dubai and also the world’s largest Chinese trading hub outside of mainland China. However, Dubai developer Emaar Properties has announced plans to build the Middle East’s largest Chinatown.
It will be located in the Dubai Creek Harbour mega-development, a major Emaar Properties project that is still under construction.
The official statement announcing the new Chinese-themed area did not disclose any specific details on when we might see the project officially open, but it did reveal that it will feature brands that appeal to Chinese tourists in particular.
