After three long years of dispute, the UAE, Saudi, Egypt and Bahrain have finally reached a resolution with Qatar and have reformed their diplomatic ties and normalised them. But what effect will that have on the GCC economy as a whole?

To start off, the Qatari airlines will benefit the most from the surge of new travellers, which in turn will ripple throughout the whole region as it recovers from the low oil prices and the COVID prices.

The ease of travel will also facilitate business transactions and expansions throughout the region, benefiting the economies of all the countries involved.
