Dubai enjoys a number of burgeoning art districts for art lovers including the DIFC, Dubai Design District and gritty Al Quoz. The Karama neighbourhood has now unexpectedly joined this list, thanks to 24 giant graffiti murals spray-painted on the facades of apartment buildings and shops around the bargaining mecca.
The spectacular murals take street art to one of the most deserving areas in Dubai, and one slightly removed from the usual tourist spots.
Created by a group of eight prominent Malaysian street artists, two of whom are UAE-based, the project has been organised by local company Graffiti Co.
