Dubai to get its first NASA space camp

by Michael Polzella

A space and rocketry camp with a NASA curriculum will take place in the UAE for the first time this summer. The UAE-based Compass International – the regional partner for the NASA visitor center U.S. Space and Rocket Centre – is conducting and organising the camp.

Attendees will learn everything from the science of rockets and rocket propulsion, to what it’s like to live and work in space, even tasting the food astronauts eat while in orbit. They’ll also learn about the missions to Mars in more detail and be guided towards designing their own bases on the red planet.
