The RTA’s Dubai Taxi Corporation has launched a new smart app, DTC School Bus. Working to enhance student safety, the app allows parents to track their children’s school bus journey.
Using GPS satellite technology, the app notifies parents of their children’s pick-up and drop-off timings, and is now available on a fleet of 368 buses across 17 schools in Dubai.
Engine switch off buttons have also been fitted to the rear of buses. This safety feature requires drivers to walk to the end of the bus to turn off the engine, helping ensure no child is left behind.
