Residents of UAE know all about rating a driver – from the likes of careem and uber, but how many times have you found yourself in an RTA taxi wondering why you can’t rate that trip?

Dubai’s Road and Transport Authority (RTA) is rolling out a platform that allows riders to rate their taxi drivers across the city, with the new “Kafou” (meaning “well done”) programme.

Kafou will celebrate Dubai’s best performing drivers by giving them the chance to rack up points, which can be used to offset against fines and black points. So start rating through the smart taxi app.
