Once again, Dubai showed the world how the horse racing is done in ultimate style. Despite the weather taking a turn for the worse, the best-dressed in Dubai came with high spirits, donning their glad rags and elaborate hats to commemorate the occasion.
With style and elegance, 60,000 people gathered at the Meydan Racecourse – the longest racecourse in the world – to enjoy the racing, incredible fireworks and entertainment by pop star Sia.
The World Cup was officially opened by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Dubai Crown Prince, with jockey Mike Smith taking the winning title and a nifty $10m.
