The UAE this month stepped up its commitment to sustainability with the social campaign #WeAreCommitted, which calls on the global community to pledge their support.
An initiative of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW), the campaign aims to bring together government, industry and business leaders from across the world to share a commitment to accelerating the sustainability transition.
At ADSW 2019, climate change was pushed to the top of the national agenda. Former UN chief Ban Ki-moon said governments needed to focus more on climate change adaptation rather than mitigation. He also urged youth to keep challenging leaders for sustainability.
