With less rainfall than a decade ago the UAE is going through its ground water reserves 20 times faster than they can be replenished. Dubai being Dubai they have obviously taken on the challenge of creating clouds.
Technically speaking cloud seeding only enhances the amount of rain that pours as opposed to generating it on demand. So only certain clouds can be seeded, but when they are 10 – 30% more rain falls.
Planes release a variety of elements, each differing to alter the processes in clouds and ultimately encourage rainfall. So, it’s really happening and it seems to be working.
