Take Time to Disconnect This Summer

by

Last month marked the 10th anniversary of the first iPhone. Leapfrogging its smartphone competition, it set in motion the mobile revolution and created an even bigger technological shift than the Internet.

The smartphone has radically changed the way we live, work and play – mostly for the better. But expectations of 24/7 connectivity come at a price. Research shows that not being able to disconnect from work makes us stressed, agitated, fearful, exhausted and ill.

That’s why more companies are incentivising staff to completely unplug when on vacation. Sustained high productivity is not possible when people are burnt out.
