Serving up Smiles at the Happiness Café

Taking another step towards fostering happiness and positivity, the UAE Government has opened its first ‘Happiness Café’.

Located in the headquarters of the Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development in Abu Dhabi, the café offers staff a place to unwind and relax during working hours.

Replete with plush sofas, reading nooks, music zones, and cultural stations, the idea is to help staff ‘reset’ so they can be less stressed and more productive in the workplace.

Stopping work to get more done may seem counterintuitive, but the science backs it. We simply deliver more when we are happy, rested and engaged.
