Dubai limousines go green

by

Within seven years, 90 percent of limousines in Dubai will be green. The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai recently announced an initiative to make 90 percent of Dubai limousines environmentally friendly by 2026.

The initiative, a semi-total conversion of the limo fleet into green vehicles, is the first of its kind worldwide.

The step is part of a larger master plan to curb carbon emissions of taxis and limos by 2 percent as required by the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy. It’s also part of the drive to facilitate a green economy, in the area of mobility.
