Marsa Al Arab: Two Huge Islands Are Coming Our Way

by Michael Polzella

In an effort to boost visitor numbers by 2020 and further enhance tourism in Dubai, the government has announced that two massive new islands will be built on each side of Burj Al Arab called Marsa Al Arab (Arab’s Marina).

One island will focus on entertainment options such as the extended Wild Wadi Waterpark and a permanent Cirque du Soleil theatre. While the other island will be filled entirely with a single luxury resort and 100 luxurious villas.

Construction of the Dhs6.3 billion project will commence in June and is expected to be complete by the end of 2020.
