Equestrian tradition has been a vital part of the Emirati culture and has long given Emiratis a sense of pride and nobility.

Dubai-born Aref Al Abbar has been promoting the importance of values, heritage and traditions in shaping the new generation through sport since he established Hobbies Club in 1996, a cultural and educational club for young people.

At Hobbies, horse riding is more than mounting a horse and riding off; it’s an opportunity to respect the heritage and intrinsic values the country’s parents and elders cultivated and deepen the national feeling of belonging to the United Arab Emirates.
