UAE steps up action against plastics

Making a stand against single-use plastic, the Environment Agency, Abu Dhabi, has established Team Zayed, joining 20 countries to encourage positive environmental behaviour, pledging to reduce single-use plastic in everyday lives.

Along with governments, companies are also making proactive changes to the way they design and deliver their products. Deliveroo has recently announced it’s cutting down on takeaway plastics, with a choice to opt-out on cutlery, while Evian is committing to use 100% recycled plastic by 2025.
