Mountaintop skating rink opens in Ras Al Khaimah

by

The highest peak in the Emirates has a new attraction. Jebel Jais is now home to the country’s highest skating rink, perched 1,300 metres above sea level.

Not for the faint-hearted, the 150-square-metre overhanging rink comes with a side of Hajar mountain scenery and is part of the Jebel Jais viewing deck park.

The rink is open to adults and children over age 3. Tickets cost Dhs45, which will get you skate rental and 30 minutes on the rink. It’s open Wednesday through Sunday starting at 10AM, with the last session of the day at 5PM.
